A photographic exhibition dedicated to Inge Feltrinelli. BIANCHIZARDIN, Milan. September 2024.
Scatti Privati opened within Benvenuti a Casa Feltrinelli, the public event held on 12 September 2024 to inaugurate Casa Feltrinelli, the new headquarters of Gruppo Feltrinelli in Via Quadrio 17, Milan. For the occasion, the Maroncelli District turned into an open-air celebration of books, music, and culture, with an outdoor bookshop, conversations with authors, and a programme spread across the neighbourhood.
Within this context, BIANCHIZARDIN hosted a dedicated exhibition: Scatti Privati — a tribute to Inge Feltrinelli, produced in collaboration with Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli.
The exhibition presented a selection of photographs from Inge Feltrinelli’s personal archive: portraits taken over the years by writers, intellectuals, friends, and photographers who captured her presence and her central role in twentieth-century Italian publishing.
A core selection of twenty portraits was assembled with the curatorial contribution of Denis Curti, artistic director of Le Stanze della Fotografia.
I conceived, designed, and curated the exhibition at Galleria Bianchi Zardin — defining the curatorial framework, the dialogue with the Feltrinelli context, and the narrative built around Inge’s figure.
In parallel, as Vice-President of Maroncelli District, I contributed to the coordination of the wider event, working to position the neighbourhood as a public cultural platform.
The exhibition closed with the works on private sale, the proceeds supporting the Inge Feltrinelli Prize.
