OCTOBER 2021 · CASA DEGLI ARTISTI, MILAN · CURATED BY MARCO TAGLIAFIERRO

Casa degli Artisti

A curatorial and editorial project with CIV Milano and That’s Contemporary. BIANCHIZARDIN present Federico Clapis solo show curated by Marco Tagliafierro. Casa degli Artisti, Milan. October 2021.

The project began as an attempt to bridge contemporary art, editorial production, and the culture of value promoted by CIV – Compagnia per l’Innovazione e per i Valori. It was commissioned in conjunction with Federico Clapis’s solo exhibition SPAZIO MENTALE = AMBIENTE, hosted by BIANCHIZARDIN Contemporary Art and curated by Marco Tagliafierro.

The objective was to translate the exhibition into something longer-form: a limited edition that would document the works, host previously unpublished texts and critical reflections, and anchor the patronage of contemporary culture to a more articulated understanding of capital — as economic, human, and intellectual heritage.

The launch took place at Casa degli Artisti, the historic Milanese space dedicated to artists’ residencies. A work by Clapis was on display, the limited-edition publication was presented to invited guests, and the video interview on the relationship between art, enterprise, and finance accompanied the evening.

I developed the project from concept to public-facing event — convening Casa degli Artisti as venue, That’s Contemporary as publisher, Federico Clapis as artist, and Marco Tagliafierro as curator. Coordination ran across editorial production, video documentation, and event delivery.

CIV offered the launch as an exclusive event for its clients, distributing the limited-edition publication and positioning itself as a forward-looking patron of contemporary art. The project remains a reference point for art-based corporate engagements that aim to leave something durable behind — a publication, an archive, a record of the conversation around the work — rather than only an evening.Take a look at Federico Clapis’s studio
